Trisonics Donating to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc.
Trisonics is excited to announce we will be donating a portion of all ultrasound parts and probe sales and probe repairs in the months of May and June to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc.
Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc. helps veterans stay housed and safe by paying bills that otherwise would not get paid. Their mission is to help restore wounded warriors to good physical, mental, and emotional health.
The late Major General Gerald Sajer and his wife, Helen, founded Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc. in 2006 to support and assist Wounded Warriors and their families as the soldiers returned from deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. They started out by visiting wounded soldiers and their families in Washington D.C., then invited them for a relaxing weekend at their farm in Adams County. As the word spread, PAWW began to work with the Lebanon VA Hospital to address other veteran needs. Over ten years later, PAWW has grown tremendously thanks to the generous support of donors.
The charity is entirely separate from the national organization Wounded Warriors Project. Helen Sajer, president of Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc. explains, “We’ve never been part of them, nor do we receive funds from them.”
“We are a statewide, independent, all-volunteer 501-C (tax exempt, nonprofit) corporation, and we all work out of our own homes,” said Sajer, a Camp Hill resident. “That allows 95 cents of every dollar to directly help our servicemen and women with everyday living expenses, and we spend the remaining five cents on paper and postage.” The organization staff consists entirely of unpaid volunteers.
Every year, PAWW gives over a million dollars to over 1000 veterans and their families. The breakdown of how the funds are utilized is as follows:
